Congrats! Hopefully you can schedule the interview early in the new year... I have to say I am absolutely blown away at how long NVC is holding case files, 8 months is ridiculous!.

For us, our NO2 is 10/14/20, were less than 2 months in.

9/29 was our NOA2. Put in DS 160, still no response from NVC.

Has your case been received by the consulate?  You should update your timeline.

I don't know. We haven't received anything official since the NOA2 letter. I managed to get the NVC case number by calling them directly with one of the phone numbers provided here. No welcome letter, email or other notice from the NVC. It just says "AT NVC" if I check online.

If it says "at NVC" then that is where the petition is.  The "letter" comes when the file is shipped to the consulate.

YMMV

Yes, same boat. Here waiting on Manila Embassy our Interview got cancelled April 2020. Our case is Ready on ceac. Every time I call I get same response. Too much time wasted on waiting already. Our Medical will expire in one month... To expensive to expedite and mostly likely get denied..:(

Do we have to do DS-160 before or after NVC sends it to the embassy?

Anytime before the interview

YMMV
