Thats a great news! Already Im keep checking quite offen.. but no info about it yet..

Btw, when did you file ?

I filed on December 4th, and the estimated completion date changed as well. It was November 2021, It's September 2021 now.

Btw, my case status is still showing: "Case Was Received And A Receipt Notice Was Emailed" , but when I clicked on Documents the Biometric Reuse letter is there. I haven't received by mail yet.

Good news on my application.  I just received a hard copy letter in the mail today notifying me that USCIS is going to reuse my biometrics.  The last time I completed my biometrics was on June 22, 2016 during the Lifting of Conditions process.  Note that my online account still shows no update regarding the reuse of biometrics.  So, a word of caution - do not rely on the online account notification and make sure your mailing address is current.

Hopefully, this will speed up my interview scheduling now.

Good luck to everyone!

Under what circumstance do they seem to be waiving biometrics now? Has this increasing due to pandemic?

From what I have read, certain USCIS local offices are using previously completed biometrics for reuse during the N-400 application.  This from what I understand is largely to clear out the backlog, and possibly to avoid in person visits during the pandemic.  I for one am glad they are doing this!  After all, our fingerprints can't have changed from the previous process!

As far as which center had adopted this process is concerned, no one knows.  Additionally, no one knows what the window is for them to accept previously completed biometrics.  I have seen cases of biometrics taken up to five years in the past being reused.

That is good news for many people. I recall getting my last biometrics in 2016 as well. I am hoping they reuse mine too, because the drive to the nearest USCIS office from me is over an hour. This will save a trip!

We only have two local offices in my state of Tennessee which both process applications for my filings.  One 3.5 hours away, and one 6 hours away!!  So needless to say, I am thrilled I don't have to make a trip to either one of those locations!

Hello,

I am in the same boat and let's hope for the best. However, I personally think the first batch of good news won't come out sooner than Feb or March at earliest.

Just checked my wife’s online account, she now has a biometrics reuse notice dated for yesterday, 13 January. Completion estimate is still September. But she had a friend who applied a few months before her, just waiting for her oath went from applying to interview in 4.5 months. So hopefully we follow the same trend.

Hi all. I applied on Dec 28 online and got paper notice within the week I think. I hope I don't have to do in person biometrics.

I wonder if anyone experienced this: when I use chrome to log onto the website, it asks to send a code to my phone every single time. And the code doesn't come unless I wait a long time (at least 30 mins) n press resend 2-3 times.
