Hello, have an upcoming interview Detroit Field office, based on 3 year rule - can my spouse come with me and sit in the waiting room while I am being interviewed?  I have read it is always a good idea for the spouse to be present to show the marriage is still in good faith, but with COVID I do not know if there will be restrictions?

Also, we have a joint bank account, how many statements should I bring and just current or extending length of marriage?

Thanks.

You can try calling the Detroit field office to be on the safe side because with Covid that might he hard through and with regards to the statement 6 months of statement will be suffice.

I had my interview all alone, my spouse didn't come with me, because in the interview letter said no company due to covid. Even the oath I was alone and I toook the oath in the parking lot in front of my car, those who brought family members, they were not allowed to get out of the car.

I had my interview pre-covid so I could have brought the boss with me. I decided against it as it was not mentioned anywhere and she cannot keep taking days off for this cr#@ In the end it was never even brought up. Also I did not submit any evidence online (only uploaded that what was required to move to the next step) and was never asked about it either.

Not sure about the spouse being present to show marriage is real part. I've never heard that and my spouse didn't come with me. I doubt very much your spouse being there will have any bearing on your n400 interview. Unless you have a combo, I wouldn't bother. And for dinner offices, spouse might not even be allowed bc of covid precautions
