Hello all!

Hubby's extension letter expires 11/1/20 and we have an infopass appointment for a I-551 stamp 10/20/20. We received the e-mail confirming the above and when we click on the "you may print your appointment letter here" link it does not work. We have the confirmation number as well as the pin so when we click on the Change/Cancel Your Appointment we are able to review the appointment and see that it is scheduled. All the information is correct (D.O.B, spelling of his name, phone numbers, etc.) so I'm freaking out because I keep getting the No appointment found for that name and date of birth error message when I try to print the confirmation letter. 😟

Will we be ok without the official confirmation letter? I think there is a barcode we need that is only on the official notice. We've sent a message to USCIS via the online account and will also call to speak to tier 2 to see what our options are.

Does anyone have any guidance/suggestions?

Had the same issue twice. Only worked closer to the dates of the appointment like a day or two. Before that, it just kept telling me I didn't have an appointment. So I suggest just waiting till closer to the date.

I'm able to do so, but I don't know if I need a barcode.

Print the email. Or use another computer, tablet or phone to check if you can open the link.

I've printed the email as well as the appointment information and I've written the confirmation and pin number on the paper.

Ok, thank you. I just called tier 2 and she told me that we would be fine as long as we have the confirmation letter (but I just don't feel good in my gut about that). However, I'll try again when we're closer to the date.

Thanks everyone!

How did you make this appointment?? they called you back?

I wish. I originally called on the 1st and was told we would be placed in a queue and should expect a call back within 5 days. However, they sent a confirmation e-mail saying we should hear back within 42-72 hours. I was getting antsy as I read other experiences saying how they were transferred to a tier 2 officer or waited on hold for one.. Because we called exactly at 8, I thought it was odd that she placed us in a queue (no one was available?). So, I called back on the 6th and immediately asked to be transferred to tier 2. This time, I was strong and stated we needed to be transferred to tier 2 as the extension letter was expiring (I told the first worker that, but maybe with less conviction?). The worker continuously asked if there was anything they could do and I had to repeatedly request to be transferred. They told me I might need to wait or even leave a message before tier 2 picked up and they gave me a reference number. Within 10 seconds of receiving the reference number, a tier 2 officer picked up and told me the only appointment they had was in 2 weeks. So we took it and they gave us the confirmation and pin number.

If you need an appointment, I recommend you call exactly at 8 and basically demand to be transferred to a tier 2 officer (none of that waiting in queue nonsense).

A tier 2 called back and gave us a date, confirmation and pin today but so far no email back....Am I supposed to fill out another online form using this info?  The agent talked super fast and after I gave him my email address he hung up like the very next second.  How long did you have to wait to get the confirmation email?

I don't think you need to fill out another form. I received the confirmation e-mail within 30 minutes. They told us as long as you have your date, confirmation, and pin you're good.

Curious does the confirmation letter have any info like where to go or who to ask to meet?  Sounds like you have the option to print the confirmation letter.  I still haven't received the confirmation email.  My concern is the person at the door won't let us in without that email or appointment print out.

Thanks so much for sharing the info PonJor!

I'm able to print out the appointment letter using the infopass webpage found on the USCIS site which i believe it's the same link you listed.  My appointment letter only has my wife's name, time and date and office address but none of the DOB, email, A# and receipt number details.  Not sure if each field office has different letter format?  My appointment letter has the barcode that you talked about before.  And the confirmation code next to the barcode matches the one that was given to us over the phone.  I'm guessing the pin # is to verify the appointment when you go there.  Still no confirmation email but when I reprint this info there's an area that says our appointment is confirmed.  I hope having this print-out letter will be enough.  Certainly we will bring all of our other documents with us when we go.  Many Thanks!!!

You're welcome!

Yes, that is the appointment letter. Hahaha I'm waiting on the appointment letter and you're waiting on the confirmation e-mail. In my opinion, having the barcode is more official (and should be quicker to look up) than the e-mail with a handwritten confirmation letter and pin lol. I think you will be fine :)

I continued to check for the official appointment letter and even sitting in the parking lot of USCIS today it said no appointment was found. Hubby went in at 7:25 a.m. this morning and was out around 7:56. He said he passed through airport like security and showed the guard the confirmation e-mail and appointment letter. He said he then went to reception and they told him to sit and wait. After about 10 minutes (there were 2 people ahead of him) he was called up to a little window. He gave the worker his passport and it was stamped for 1 year. They kept his green card. The worker also wrote in his passport that the I-751 and N-400 are pending. When my husband asked about that, the worker said "don't worry about your cases, they're coming soon". Unfortunately, no further clarification was provided. Both cases should be at the field office, so fingers crossed will get an appointment notice before the end of the year.
