Hello. I’ve submitted our w2s and proof of filing taxes but got a note saying we need a tax transcript from the IRS. So I resubmitted all tax information with a note saying we’ve ordered the transcripts and will have them by our interview date. But they denied us again and said we need the tax transcript. Has anyone had this problem and was able to do anything about it? We’ll have to continue to wait for the transcripts if not and are heading into a higher level of lockdown so I’m getting nervous.

No, we need it for my parents and they aren’t exactly up with technology. I tried doing it for them but the site locked me out saying they couldn’t match the information. Their accountant ordered one for them from the IRS but said it still hasn’t come. It’s very frustrating as we just need an interview date to get a timeframe in mind. Plus Ireland is increasing the lockdown and I worry all will be shut down again soon.

If your parents live abroad you will not be able to match the information and get the transcript online. The ONLY way to get a transcript living abroad is calling the IRS.

I live in Brazil and requested the transcript in July. Have not received it (!). I called again this week to re-request it...

That makes sense now! I called and they said w2s and proof of filing is fine. I said I’ve submitted those twice now and keep getting denied. Then she told me maybe it’s because you submitted them in the same file, upload them all separately. Then said the tax document was cut off at the decimal. So I checked and my tax return is cut off at the decimal and they accepted that. Then I noticed all tax documents end at the decimal so it isn’t cut off. I made a note of that and uploaded all files separately, as she said. I’m calling again Monday. This is ridiculous.
