Consulate Review: Barbados

Event Description
Review Date : October 5, 2020
Embassy Review : CR1 Approved!!!
Hubby got there at 6:50am for his 8:30 appointment (Yes he opened the embassy😅)
I didn't upload my divorce papers (they didn't ask for it on ceac)😒 but the officer uploaded it for him🙏🏾.
They took his birth, marriage, and police certificate, my (petioner) divorce docs and pictures of us. They returned the pics but said they will mail the originals back when they are done processing, should be back with the passport.

Questions asked:
1. How did you meet your wife?
2. How many children does she have?
3. Tell me a little about the kids?
4. How often do you speak to your wife?
5. Why did her previous marriages end?
6. Where does your wife work?
7. How long has she worked there?
8. Whats her job title?
9. When was the last time you saw your wife?
10. How often does she travel to see you?

My husband said it was just a casual conversation. She gave him the domestic violence handout and told him his tourist visa was canceled (he was so scared at this point😬) gave him his passport back with info to mail it and told him to take it to DHL. This is something new due to covid. DHL said he should have it back in 3 days and the embassy will send him an email on when to pick it up.
Rating : Very Good

So you expect to get the cisa and passport back in 3 days? When emailing with the embassy they said it could take up to 3 weeks.

Congratulations BTW. We have our appt in 2 weeks in Barbados. How long was he in the embassy? Was there an option to just leave the passport at the embassy at the time of the interview or did you have to send it back via DHL?

Hey there. Just checking in. Got approved today in Barbados. Yay!! Any news on your visa yet? The waiting is torture. They told us at least 2 week wait time since they are so short staffed.

Congrats. We were issued same day October 21. You enter?
Cayessdee on 2020-12-02 said:
Many congrats to you both. If it’s not too intrusive how did you justify the expedite? Was it medically based? I want to request an expedite on the grounds that I need to relocate for work but will not have time off between jobs and need my husband and to find housing cross country. Not sure if this is a legitimate reason for expedite.

Do you know what Barbados typical timeframe is for scheduling interviews once DQ'd?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
