I had my biometrics taken on 12th August and it took 3 weeks to receive an update. These things just feel like they take forever!

What kind of update did you receive? I had my biometrics taken on Aug 28th, and since then my status has been stuck "Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken". I see that the case status already turned "case is ready to be scheduled for interview" for those whose biometrics were after mine.

the approval of my EAD and 2 days later, my AP was approved, too. Now, since a few days, the status is "Card mailed to you" :D So "just" wait, it's coming!
