This is awesome! Where did you get this page from? What be great for reference.

The pending litigation is called Gomez v. Trumphttps://www.visalaw.com/siskinds-notes-visa-ban-litigation-administrative-record/ This link has a Dropbox link to the obtained documents.

I am blessed in that regard....I manage to fly down every 3-4 weeks and spend a few days at "home" with her.  Sometimes I need to remind myself how fortunate I am to be able to see her.

That is amazing! How lucky! It's been nearly 1 year since I've seen my partner. We were suppose to see each other in March this year but y'know, travel restrictions. I HAD a valid k1 visa. That expired. And yes, I know k1s were exempt from the first ban, but the Embassy didn't actually inform me (and others) of this until it was way too late.  We were so close... 😧

Reminder that UK and Ireland proclamation happened before the Labor Proclamations. Because of the UK and Ireland proclamation you would have needed to go to unrestricted country for 14 days prior to attempting US entry:

Yes, by the time we found out about spending 14 days elsewhere before US entry, it would have eaten into my expiry date and expired during the 14 days elsewhere. And even if we were able to find out before, this option wasn't financially feasible for us anyway.

I imagine most countries that have reopened and have eased a lot of lockdown restrictions will be at phase 2.

For UK, it seems to be in that phase (by comparing July IR-1/CR-1 data to June IR-1/CR-1 data):

But most London K-1 applicants are affected by the following part of UK and Ireland proclamation: "The Secretary of State shall implement this proclamation as it applies to visas pursuant to such procedures as the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security, may establish." How can K-1 applicants (that are subject to the proclamation) guarantee to the consular officers that they'll first go to an unrestricted country for 14 days before attempting travel to the US?

Even the few London K-1 applicants that are exempt to the UK and Ireland proclamation (e.g. parent of US citizen child, etc.) haven't been able to get K-1 interviews. 0 K-1 visas issued in London since the mid-March closure:

I have seen one K1 visa approved recently which was mission critical/expedited. I'm taking all the good signs we can right now so putting that in the plus column. However, it looks like K visas are in Phase Three which the UK doesn't seem to be at yet. I'm estimating things will be up and running by the end of the year but obviously we just have to wait and see.

I had also been visiting about monthly until the lockdown happened.

I've been too nervous to fly so we haven't seen each other in 5 months.

I have an already existing upcoming flight but wasn't sure I should risk it.

Interesting to see you're still flying down there.

But I'll face the same wait with Juarez unfortunately.

My fiance is in Mexico as well.  I was going every 3 weeks until COVID hit.  I'm almost certain I caught COVID on the flight home in early March (but no tests were available to confirm).  We didn't see each other for 4.5 months.  I did a trip in July to Guadalajara as it turned to Orange, so we met there.  The plane ride was the only place I felt more at risk than at home, but hopefully I have some level of immunity.  Everyone on the plane was wearing a mask but some idiots had their noses exposed.  In general people in Mexico are behaving way more responsibly than the US.  Everywhere you go they take your temperature and require you to use hand sanitizer - I love it.  For labour day weekend I'm going to Mexico City but we are staying way outside where there are more open spaces.

Why couldn't you get married during one of these visits?

We could, but I would hate to start over at the back of the line for a CR-1.....That very well could take years now.

GO!!!!  Flying is no problem.  In fact, Queretaro is taking many precautions that they don''t in the US.  They are screening 100% upon entry for temp as well as the survey.  In addition, you can't enter the airport from the street without a temp check and screening.   It is great.  I felt very safe flying.   No issues at all.   Don't let that stop you.   You actually encounter more people at Walmart than you will on your trip.

Are you referring to Ah96's K-1 visa? https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=338037 If so, note that Ah96 is exempt to the proclamation as a parent of US citizen child:

Like I said, mission critical, or an exception made. Not saying this will apply to all K1s.

@royyount

As others have said, appreciate that you get to see her so often.

I left my fiancé in Thailand in May.  I am not free to leave my work, and Thailand is closed to us Americans anyway. She cannot get a tourist visa because of COVID embassy shutdowns. So, she cannot visit me, and I cannot visit her for an indefinite period of time.

Your situation is a million times better than many here.  Even before Covid (which is the real villain here) many members (including me) spent as much as year or  more separated from our spouses.  I am not criticizing .....just trying to put things into perspective......good luck and hang in there.

Covid is not the villain—our true enemy is the elite class and world governments, who are playing this situation to their benefit by exploiting the fear and ignorance of the human animal. :)
