Great news,  but  feel bad for the president it seems his health is giving up on him. No doubt so stressful to lead Filipinos and not worth it to die for just my cent

I would love for Sara to run in 2022 tbh with you.

Just like in  2015 when he told the press he would not run for President?

I was in Davao around 2014/2015 time frame for a few months, I saw a few tarpaulins sign scattered thru out the city asking him to run for President.  At the time I thought no way he would be elected due to his "Iron Fist" way of running things. I figured his famous Davao Death Sqaud would make him unelectable.

But it seems as if people outside the Davao area wanted his "Iron Fist" way of running things,  even today I am still surprised some mayor of a town in Mindanao is running the Philippines.

2022 could be interesting.  All these mayors and elected officials who have allowed the Philippines to be locked down and under quarantine for so long and causing more economic turmoil in the Philippines may be voted out of office.

It will be interesting to see if the COVID lockdown has a backlash effect in 2022.

As long as it’s stable by 2026 so I can retire there.

The problem with retiring in the Philippines is the standard of life there. You can go to Thailand and get much better living conditions, better food, much quicker internet and cheap living places.

Constant brown outs, Slow internet, poor quality of food, horrible infrastructure is the downsides in Philippines.  English being widely spoke there is a n upside.

Stable in Philippines? I don't know if we will ever see that,  They had a bombing today and local reports are saying 89 are dead in the Jolo Sulu area.

We will be in Palawan. I like the area and have split a lot of time between there and Cavite. Overall I'd rather be in Palawan.

Never really had an issue with food. Internet hit or miss but no issue as I'll be retired with no need to have access at a certain time.  I'll have a whole house generator for the brownouts.  We will be building there

I've been to Thailand, Bangkok, Koh Samui and Koh Tau. Didn't really like it that much.

Palawan is pretty unique area for the most part, I do enjoy it there.  I just don't think I could live full time there, I just enjoy my house and area I live in the USA so much.  I do plan on spending a much more in Philippines as I get older, but don't think moving there full time is in my future.
