Holy mackerel.  However, I do admire a company with guts.  Shades of Pres. Reagan's firing of the Air Traffic controllers.

This action might also enable the airline to keep from firing or otherwise losing idled pilots, which is good thinking for when air traffic starts to revive.

WHAT TIME IS IT?

A very self-impressed businessman was afraid that his flight would land too late for him to make his business appointment.  He strode forward, banged on the cockpit door, and demanded of the pilot, "What time is it?"
The pilot responded, "According to which airline?"
The businessman said, "What difference does it make?  What time is it?"
The pilot again responded, "According to which airline?"
The businessman became irate and said, "Just tell me what time it is, or I'll come in there and wring your neck!"
The pilot consulted his watch, performed some calculations, then said, "OK -- on Eastern, it's 13:30; on United, it's 1:30; on Braniff, it's Wednesday; and on Ozark, it's June!"

Ozark airlines?  Dang,  you're old!

If you remember Ozark, you're probably just as old -- so there.

Of all the history of airline mergers, this is probably the longest string of "the wrong airline bought the right airline":

  -- Ozark bought by TWA

  -- TWA bought by American

-- American merger with Useless (which, in another wrong-swallowed-right case, had bought Piedmont)

I agree mostly with what the captain says(wow i m racist now /s), I can see how the latter part like subsidized housing and having many children can be seen as an indirect attack on black and hispanics because they make up for 31% and 22% of food stamp recipients. Yes, food stamp alone isn't a sole public benefit but you get the point.

In 2017. the following were welfare recipients (not just food stamps, but all programs combined, I think):

Whites -   38.8%

Blacks -   39.8%

Hispanics - 15.7%

I don't see anything the Delta guy posted that would single out any race, as I have seen examples of the things he spoke about amid all races.  Just like I see people of all races and across many different countries paying $$$ to play games online while struggling to pay their rent or buy groceries.

What I meant is how others perceive, which is often inaccurate.

Unfortunately, people won't(or don't want to) know the contexts. And 38.8% of wealth recipients are white? Wow! I am truly shocked. This gave me a whole new insight. Where did you find it?

That is the whole point of the activist media we have today along with the Twitter Bots.  They will posit an inaccuracy and play it to the max as by the time the actual truth comes out people will forget how it started.

Somewhat digressing, but one thing I absolutely despise about US racial relation is that Asians always gets ignored because we are basically pseudo-whites...and also, I would be more sympathetic toward white conservatives if they admit that they use just as much welfare as black people.

The numbers have been dropping in recent years, but this is the article that had the numbers I posted.  I'm sure 2018 and 2019 are different, but close?  Not sure.  (Also, one needs to multiply the percentage of each race in the US by the rates quoted above to put it into more perspective.

So 38.8% of recipients are whites, which are about 63% of the population.

39.8% of recipients are black, which are about 13% of the population.

Assuming a US population of 331,182,250 and 12.8 million welfare recipients for 2017:

4.97 million whites are on welfare (out of 208.6 million whites) which equates to ~2.4% of all whites.

5.1 million blacks are on welfare (out of 43.1 million blacks) which equates to ~11.8% of all blacks.

(My Maff could easily be off, so anyone feel free to correct any accidental oversights!)

My source for the numbers you mentioned:
