hey - i just got a touch!!! today?! perhaps some news coming? perhaps my file was just moved from one dusty place to another...however its enough for me at this point to know something has happened?! hoping its not an RFE?! we shall see I suppose...just had to share...good luck to all others still waiting anxiously for that elusive NOA2!!!!

I am fairly confident that given your sent date that your petition has finally escaped its dusty place and is on an adjudicator's desk. How long it will take to get a decision or an RFE (God forbid) will depend on what the adjudicator finds when they start doing their work.

But the good news is that at last someone is looking at your petition.

QUICK! I am about to call my Senator and explain to them all the issues we have with USCIS, and i cannot remember the situation exactly... I'm going to tell him about our situation (and we've only been waiting a little over 100 days), but i also want to mention how VSC was prioritizing a different type of work visa. Can someone remind me of what this situation was exactly?

They prioritize work-related employment visas before family visas. They have 2 months to approve work visas but have unlimited time to approve family viasas. They are promoting a 6 moth waiting time as of today, but they can change this whenever they want with minimal to zero consequence.

Thank you! I tried to call, but he's not in today (figures). His secretary said he'd call me back, so I'll add this to my ammuntion! I never thought anyone would actually get back to me about the letters i sent, so i wasn't really prepared to talk to anyone about this!

Don't forget to also mention how many other types of visa petitioners can pay for premium 15-calendar day processing, while K1 and K3 petitioners cannot. Good luck. Keep the pressure on the politicians to make this right!

And they were doing the petitions in one month in april, now it's six which is unreasonable. They raised the fees from $170 to $440 to be faster, not slower!

Also doing petitions out of order now, september!?.

And they don't give information and what they do say is bs and changes depending on who you speak with. Other than that they are doing a great job

Ok, in addition to the contacts sent to by the press release for the Hershey Kisses I sent info to Lou Dobbs, Associated Press, the Drudge Report, and WTOP News radio in DC. Anybody have any other ideas?

I guess a press release isn't all it takes and it seems to me that this is newsworthy?! Somebody should give us a little notice

Just checking in. There is NO way I can read all the posts made here since I left the US, so someone please send me a PM and tell me what has been going on here. I can only get to the net once a week or so.....and naturally, as a result my sleeping pattern has returned to normal.

Hope you all are well and things are moving a little faster for you.

I'm still in Albania where I await some response from USCIS about either one of our cases.

My congressional liasion found that they will reveiw our first case and issue a letter that will allow me to provide a rebuttal, but that was two weeks ago and, as you know, they have NOT done what they promised. So, we wait.

Ok here we go...

JFK - Damascus 12feb- 04mar is coming out at about $933 a person (and that was for 3 people, with a stop in Amman)

JFK-CVG 23DEC - 26DEC is coming out at about $320. If you want to fly Xmas Eve, it gets in about 7pm and it's $300

Nothing is cheap around Christmas :(

Thank you soo much - that one in feb looks good - the one in dec - 300 isn't bad - its the fact that its only for 3 days.. The flight to Syria - with the 3 hours from allentown to jfk and then the 3 hours from damascus to amar - i wouldn't have time to unpack - i'd get there in time to say hello to my grandparents - give him a quick kiss and be heading back to the airport!!

I contacted the Washington Post about the article they had on the front page about 4 weeks ago about K1 Visas and aske about any follow up they would be doing....in fact that was how I found VJ.....and they said they had little response to the article even though they ran it front page......I was disappointed......so I thought about writing letters to the editors....but in this area people are crazy about illegal immigration and they are lumping us into that catagory...and then of course you have the woman from Lebenon who had a sham marriage and became a CIA operative....It could not be any worst timing.....I sent out email to all of the Congress and got a couple of auto response....Senator Martinez if Florida responded with a.....We know about USCIS...they are the worse agency in the government....If that is true then why is the Gonzalez guy still have his job??????.......I just want to rip something up.....augh........anyway I am calling my Congressman again....It has been 2 weeks since they told me that our file was assigned to a case worker......he or she must of gotten lost coming to work because I have nothing as of 20 minutes ago........Lora

Sorry, i should have made that more clear. The Syria flight is $933, but the other one is actually a flight to Ohio that someone had asked about! Sorry about that
