I guess we are in the same boat as september filers. Looking at all the delays and the long processing times here, seems like we are in for a rough and very long ride. I also recieved my NOA 1 on the 10th of september, so will be good to see how we both progress together. one question tho, i saw from your timeline that your case was 'touched' ... how do you find something like that out? ive entered my reciept number on to the USCIS website and created a username but no touches as of yet.. Is this where you are notified that your case file is "touched" ?

Ab"

As was stated above, the Last updated field had a date of 9-14. Nice to meet you by the way, but I dont think it will be too bad. Before the USCIS changes I was supposed to use the TSC which at the time was at 110 days, so that is what I was mentally prepared for anyway. Like others have stated in this thread, I think that October 1 will tell the tale. I think (hope) the adjudicators will be off the other stuff that they are working on since that should be when the time limit runs out on most of the other stuff. If things dont pick up and we dont see some increase in thruput, then I will get depressed.

It's been awful quiet in here today so I thought I'd jump-start this thread.

When I first filed, the timeline estimated that my case would be adjudicated by September 1st.....

Now the date is November 2.

I was in Albania for about a month with my SO and, although I knew better, I hoped I'd see an approval or at least a touch upon my return. NOTHING.

I'm certainly fed up; have been for a while now.

Are you all ready to organize something or do you want to keep waiting for USCIS to do the right thing?

I sent a sample form letter to another member to proof. I hope some of you will come on-board to wake USCIS and our Senators up before the 6-month mark arrives and we are all still sitting around waiting for an approved petition.

Stay tuned.

NOA 2: 04-02-2008-->SECOND Petition approved

07-31-08- Entered the U.S.

09-17-08- Married

10-29-08: File AOS, EAD, AP

U.S. Wendy and amrssnowangel ,thanks you both for starting out this conversation!

I also think that we need to start some kind of actions rather that just ranting and venting.

As we all can see something unprecedented is happening now with our waiting times and with amount and quality of information we have from USCIS (pertains to both service centers)

We are quite large group of people in the same situation, confused , upset, buried in uncertainties.. We should be able to draw attention to our situation, and make our voices heard by the right channels and authorities.

I am bad in organising things initially, but will gladly participate in any worthwhile actions . You have my vote and my voice

Once again big thank you!

I totally agree. This forum is a great place to vent and complain about the stress of being separated from our loved ones, while we wait for our K1 and K3 visa processes. At the same time, this complaining is not really helping the situation. I feel that we, the applicants, should make USCIS aware (in mass forces) of our extreme disgust with them...of course in a polite way ;) . Now is the best time to do so because before we know it, more holidays will further prevent adjudicators from working on our already back logged applications....ie. thanksgiving...xmas.

Venting our frustrations to USCIS might not make an impact on the processing of our applications, but at least they will be aware. If we complain to them enough, they have to give in at some point. I mean, they do have quotas to meet in processing these applications, and I'm sure they must fulfill and complete a certain number of apps per day, week, month. So they can’t keep putting our applications off forever. Maybe if we write to them or email them, this may push them along a bit quicker.

Just a thought.....but nonetheless….I’m in too.

That is assuming our Senators would even do anything about it. They are filled with Lip Service.

Well....I think we need to all do something. Its not just about the individual petition. Its about standing up to say we are humans, with emotions..and to me this is a bit more weighted then what my individual petition status is. Plus once we get our foot in the door and VCS Director starts getting emails, phone calls from Senators offices alll over the usa....they know we are watching, waiting and ready to take the next step...they know we stood up for our simple right to knowledge. Also, I DO understand that the individual petition is processed in its own time. If everyone wants nothing but their individual petition to go through faster then we won't gain the attention of politicians. Its MUCH more reasonable to want information...lets face it...for all we they may have a legitimate reason for the lagging. It wasnt THAT long ago they were processing in less than a month...so SOMETHING happened to stop this fast work...and we, the petitioners, who paid for a service.....have a right to know why the change... Its our right. I think we can get more on board by making others understand as an individual petition we aren't noticed....as a large group of voters demanding their RIGHTS to information on the PROCESS we will get noticed. Just my opinion. Law of large numbers. We'd never get action if they thought we ALL wanted individual petitions rushed. They just need to know we are here and not afraid to demand our rights. Any ideas on how to start and collect the information we need? Im thinking...a listing of state senators, with phone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses. A form letter for everyone to send with a space to say how the lack of knowledge and information is affecting them on a personal level. I say we CC: the white house to. Another date, another campaign.

I got the number of applicatants on file by clicking on immigration timelines...Then K1. I selected last 6 months option and it tells number of files on VJ...or did I read it wrong??? Or is that number wrong? And if it is...how does THAT affect the numbers???

Ok...I guess we need a committee to make letters, help gather information and make a plan on how to recruit petitioners to send this and call. Also, its not just VSC...we can include ALL centers....this isn't just VSC issues....no one can get ANY information for many reasons. Plus the more....the merrier. Anyone interested in helping....message me and lets get rolling. I will look for volunteers to help organize this till next wednesday...then we can make a meeting in chat to discuss the details...look for more details to come..I will start a new thread for this tomorrow. Keep an eye out for it...
