I hate to be Mr. Gloom & Doom, but I have a real strong feeling they pulled all the adjudicators off of the K1 129F's. I don't have any proof but I think the theory matches up well with the evidence.

USCIS has given themselves 6 months to process K1 I-129F's. Recent petitions approved were approximately 4 months old. So in the eyes of USCIS they have a 2 month cushion. I think it is only logical that they stopped processing K1 I-129F's to free up adjudicators to clear the backlog of "higher priority" petitions created by the July surge. Most of these higher priority petitions have a service level commitment of 2 months or less so one of these petitions received in July will have a higher priority than a K1 petition received after March.

As further evidence, the processing of May K1's has slowed dramatically. The petitions were in the pipeline before the surge hit. If the same number of adjudicators were working on K1's as there were previously, than the pace of May approvals would not have slowed even though a backlog was building up behind them.

The few K1 approvals we are seeing were probably already on an adjudicator's desk when they stopped the processing. As RFE's or special reports are returned, the adjudication of those petitions are being finished but no new ones are being started.

Now at some point they will switch adjudicators back to processing the I-129F's when they are caught up on the other types of petitions. When? I wish I knew. If the USCIS is to maintain their service level commitments to other types of petitions (mostly 2 months or less) than the July surge has to be cleaned up by the end of September. But that is a big if. I don't know if the USCIS will be able to clean up the non I-129F surge backlog by the end of this month or not. If they don't, I imagine they will keep the adjudicators where they are since they will still have some I-129F cushion left. The latest USCIS processing report is dated 8/15 so it is not much help in determining where they stand as of today.

Anyway that is my theory and I sticking to it until I see evidence that points to something else. If I am missing something, please let me know!

When bszoom posted the revised list he deleted anyone who hadn't visited VJ in more than 3 months, so it could be due to that. He was assuming that those who didn't participate on the boards were dropouts and wouldn't be statistically valuable, as such.

Drop him a PM and he'll fix you up when he's back from India.

I think is due to all the people who had corrected their sent dates and NOA1 dates....I also have corrected mine...

I changed the algorithm significantly. I now only show VSC filers here who have a NOA1 within 1 year but have updated their timeline within 3 months. I filtered out disabled users (orphaned timelines) and try to identify situations where the NOA2 should have been received but timeline not updated.

Here are the latest lists generated at 9/11/2007 6:38:37 PM

This is why I think Pete may have been dropped from the list.

Anyone have success in calling USCIS to get their case looked at?

I just want to say "Listen, Baier and Sarah sent theirs in AFTER me and they got their NOA2 already.. WHAT'S UP?!!!"

But I'm sure they won't understand that.

They only give me the 6 month processing time spiel. :(

Btw, congrats to Baier and Sarah.

Well...in TRYING to stay positive.... (PMS day???) if we look at how many K1 Petitions are on record as posted on VJ over the last 3 months it states around 60. Over the last SIX months UNDER 170 actually filed k1 visas from here on VJ. If you think of the staggering numbers of petitions filed that DONT register here....we are but a drop in the bucket...so by CHANCE...maybe we haven't had approvals...but doesn't mean they aren't working. I admit...its discouraging...and that the HARDEST thing is lack of information as to WHY and what is being done and any expected dates for improvement. So with that in mind...and armed with numbers and statistics, I placed a call to my senators office NOT to ask for help on my petition...BUT...to ask for help in contacting VCS directly for us to find out what the hold up is. I let them know it seems to us our government is standing still and on top of that emphasized how difficult it is to wait with NO information. How would they like having an election....and then having to wait for who knows how long for the outcome???? Hmm..not sure our politicians would like that to much.... So in my most professional tone...(mind u I have the voice of a 22 year old....in a 43 year old body, how professional CAN that sound???) I pleaded the case. A caseworker will see what can be done, who to contact. I made sure they understood...I don't want specific PETITION information.

By the way....what do the representatives in the customer service center get paid to actually do if ALL they can tell us is WHAT we see on the website???? Why not just use VRU's.....and move all the reps into adjudication and use our tax dollars wisely. Hmmmmmm....its a voting year this coming year....I say we raise up...and be heard....Everyone should call their senators offices and flood them with demands on answers to why we are waiitng....watching other centers approvals fly by....and we feel at a stand still......just information is all we need to ease the pain of seperation.

Either way....today is the day God has made...let us rejoice and be glad in it. Its just the world we live in for today...tomorrow our world will change when our loved ones come home to be at our sides.

Happy Ramadan to those who celebrate with me!!

My mind is working double time....

What do others think of a "CALL IN DAY"? A SPECIFIC DAT OR TWO...where we ALL call in to senators offices, flood them with emails, with a plea for simple information???? May not work...but.....what if it DID? (ohhh theres that optimistic positive PMS combination working....:blink::innocent: ) And instead of sending chocolates or flowers to VCS....send the to our politicians with letters....hmmm......

Yes, but I don't think it's due to the member not visiting VJ in the past 3 months as you said earlier. Based on his quote above and what he posted in the CSC forum, I think he is purging timelines that have not been updated in the past 3 months. That doesn't make sense to me since there is frequently no reason to update a timeline until a NOA2 is received and that is taking more than 3 months now. In any case, I'm sure he will revise it or explain why he is doing it that way when he gets back online.
