Submitted I-130 for my wife online and got NOA1 from TSC

Hi,

 

I filed I-130 application for my wife online on 12/04/2019, got a IOE receipt number and NOA1 on 12/06/2019 from Texas Service Center. Since the date for inquiry passed for TSC, I gave them a call and they mentioned that my case is with Potomac Service Center. I never got any notification about case being transferred. The timeline for Potomac are way behind compared to TSC. Did this happen to anyone else?

Filed online back in June 2020. Received NOA1 with a Texas address at the bottom left. IDK where my petition is sitting and which application center timeline to follow TBH. I live CA btw.

06/12/2014: Biometrics Appointment

02/13/2015: Green Card Was Ordered To Be Produced

02/20/2015: Green Card Has Been Mailed.(Received Tracking Number)

02/23/2015: Green Card Received With Correct Name

N-400 Citizenship Timeline

07/05/2012 = Eligible to apply for Naturalization based on the 5-year rule (90-days rule applied)

01/11/2015 = Sent N-400 Packet (to Phoenix Lockbox Facility via USPS Certified Mail)

01/15/2015 = N-400 Packet Delivered

01/27/2015 = I-912 Approved

02/02/2015 = NOA1 Received (Priority Date 01/15/2015)

02/07/2015 = Biometrics Letter Received (Bio Set for 02/20/2015)

02/25/2015 = In Line for Interview

04/03/2015 = Interview Completed

--- = Oath Letter Received

04/15/2015 = Oath Ceremony!

Yes this happens, they often shuffle cases around due to workload, some get notices, some don't.

Nothing that can be done other than wait it out.

Call USCIS to check if it still is at TSC or they moved and then check on the timeline at USCIS as well as VJ!

Does the person at tier 1 know this or I need to talk to an immigration officer. Do I specifically ask where my petition is being processed?

Just checked mine and it's still at Texas, I'm still within processing time though, I had seen many others being transffered out to other service centers.

Thank you for the tip. I tried to call yesterday and after about 30 mins the automated voice response system stopped responding and I hung up. I tried chatting today and the representative confirmed my case is still in TSC.

 

Can anyone confirm if they were notified when case transferred? The representative stated I will get a notice.

How did you file? I filed mine online and received the NOA under 24 hours in my online account.

The office received on 20 July  

They have our address, phone number, email  

But we didn't get anything 

 

 

It's  been 3 days is it normal?
