DS-260 "Review Note" on CEAC website?

Hey everyone,

I received an email today from the NVC that they have updated the status of my wife's immigrant visa application. When I logged into the CEAC website it just had a message in my inbox that was titled "DS-260 Review Note" but there is no body to the message. Nothing happens when I click on it. What does that mean?

Just some background information, I already completed my DS-260 but haven't uploaded the civil documents or the AoS yet. All fees are paid. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have also had a very difficult time reading messages on their site.

This is a common issue.

Personal recommendations:

Use chrome browser.

Click to read message.

Wait 5-10 minutes.

Look to see if the message finally displayed.

The site does log you off with inactivity, so it is a challenge.

I had to repeat many times over the course of a day or two to get the message to display.

We had the same issue with my brothers CEAC message(s). It took us a while to view the message and tried different browser. Fortunately, my mom had the luck of viewing the message. The message says something like "NVC are not able to review the submitted documents unless all other documents are submitted (AOS, DS-260 and civil documents)." In short, they want all required documents submitted before reviewing it. even if you already submitted the AOS and DS-260, they can't review it unless missing documents (Civil Documents) are submitted.

I hope this helps.

I finally was able to see my message , and it was the same message your brother received. Stating that NVC won't review my documents until I submit my civil/,financial documents.

Yup, that's what mine said too. Guess they just want to make sure we know that because some people might not.

My message finally showed up after about 5 min of waiting after clicking on it.

This is an ongoing problem that the CEAC website has had. They are aware and have been for months - which is strange bc it's still not fixed.

Anyway, one way to go around it is to call NVC and they will read you the message.

I highly suggest everyone does this - as there can be VERY IMPORTANT information on there. For me, for example, I had ample evidence of adequate income on my 864 and I was DQ so I thought everything was good to go. However, the message suggested they did not deem my income as adequate - no explanation. I called NVC and the officer read me the message and stated that I should get a joint sponsor. Times are changing and what was considered good enough pre-COVID is different now. So one really should call to have the message read to them. Good luck!

I was able to open my message when I tried a few days later with no issues. :)
I recommend trying to read it another day if you aren't able to open a message. The system is so wonky I've had so many issues with it.
