  1. Well it is the basic PayPal, with that you have a checking account number. No special kind of PayPal really. I'll definitely try and report back, thank you!
  2. Not exactly, I will try PayPal and if it doesn't work I will have to sign up for a standard bank. Thanks.
  3. Ok, I understand. Actually though, I meant that with PayPal you can have a checking account number and a routing number. PayPal utilizes a bank to allow this. Whether it will work or not I suppose I'll have to find out. Thanks.
  4. I am ready to submit payment for the IV and Affidavit of Support fees on the CEAC website, but I only use PayPal. I do have a checking account number and routing number I'm just not sure if they accept PayPal as a payment method. Does anyone know? Thank you so much!
  5. Thank you sir. By full pay period do you mean just how often they pay me like weekly, bi-weekly, etc?
  6. Thank you. By "work offer" do you mean when they started my employment and my rate of pay?
  7. Hi all, I've been around these forums for years but finally just about a month ago I got a 2nd job and I finally meet the income requirements for my wife's IR-1 visa for the Philippines. Currently her case is at the NVC and just waiting for my updated paperwork to be submitted. Her priority date is July 3, 2019. I got my 1st job in Jan 2024 and the 2nd in Mar 2024, before that I never met the income requirements for years. (I did have various jobs before this, but nothing consistent or that got close to meeting income requirements. My Question is: How long should I wait (if at all), to submit my income information? I just want to make sure I waited long enough and have enough paystubs to have the best chances of being approved. Thank you so much all!
  8. Hi, I just had a few follow up questions about your answer here. 1). What did you mean by a job that is considered long term? (does that exclude Uber/Lyft drivers?) 2). How exactly do they calculate your income of a job you recently got? Is it the base pay rate or can you include things like overtime, etc into the equation? (for example if I got a job that was like $18/hour instead of the $20/hour that's required, if I worked overtime or extra days does that factor in to make up for the hourly loss?) 3). How long would I have to work a new job that meets the income requirements before I could use it to qualify for immigration? Thank you very much, sorry for so many questions.
  9. Hi there, just trying to understand some things about the income requirements. If my past 3 tax returns are spotty on income and don't meet the requirements, but my current income does such as current month and maybe past couple months will that be enough? Or does everything have to be pretty spotless as far as the "totality of circumstances" goes? Thank you.
  10. Yeah you are right, Equity is what they need. I think i'm going to need a different sponsor that has actual income. Oh well. Thanks.
  11. Oh, i didn't see the part where it said "primary residence" that's strange. Yeah they don't have any docs that show value that I know of so I will probably have to find a new potential sponsor. Thanks.
  12. Thank you, but I actually think I made a mistake in what their income is after reviewing their tax returns. Doesn't look like they will qualify based on income, but maybe the houses they own. Do real estate assets have less chance of being accepted by the consular officer as meeting the financial requirements?
  13. Hey thank you for the in-depth answer, I appreciate it. So will my current income be weighed more heavily than income gaps in my tax returns do you think?
  14. The only possible Joint Sponsor that I may have right now does not work anymore, but has fairly high retirement income. This comes from things like social security, military pension and being disabled. Is this going to be a problem? They also have 2 houses currently that maybe I could use as assets instead. Thank you!
  15. Hi there, just another question to understand my situation. I'm currently getting financial documents in order for my wife's IR-1 case at the NVC. I believe that as the petitioner with a joint sponsor I only needed the most recent tax return and my 2021 income was really low, like maybe 12k or less. 2022 was much better, but still very low like maybe less then 20k still. My question is: For my household i believe that it's almost 41k income required. If my joint sponsor meets this requirement is my low income on my tax returns going to be a problem? Also I work for Uber and it's self-employed in a way, will that be a problem with documenting my income? This year my income has gone up quite a bit though, but still under the requirements. Thank you so much, sorry for too much info.
  16. Hi all, my wife may be coming during the first half of next year to the US from the Philippines if her visa gets approved. She has been wondering about the Covid Vaccine requirements, does anyone know? I know there are other vaccines required but she was wondering about the Covid one specifically. Also, where would she be getting that vaccine, during her Medical at St. Lukes before the interview? Thank you!
  17. Thank you, yes I can agree with that. I would rather take my time to do it right.
  18. Thanks for the info. Their daughter is married actually as far as I know. Not sure if that makes a difference.
  19. Hi all, just another question to clarify what I should do. Right now I need to pay the fees for my DS-260 and AOS and then submit them to NVC. My question is, should I rush and try to get all the docs together before the end of the year and submit it before the new year? I'm asking because I don't know if there are any changes coming down the line for immigration in 2023 that could hurt me if I wait. Or does it matter? Thank you!
