Hello all.

I need to file my i-751 as early as July but have been unable to renew my passport.

Will I be able to submit for Removal of Conditions with an expired passport?

I do meet/have pretty much all the requirements.

Thank you.

You don't need your passport while filing i-751. So don't worry about your expired passport

You don’t need your passport at all, you just need to send a copy of your soon to be expired green card.

Thank you. This is a relief. Although I have pretty much all the requirements. I haven't had the time to sort and organize them.

This is true.  You may want to try to renew your passport anyways in the meantime in case your I-751 extension letter for 18 months runs out at the end of the 18 months.  Once that happens if it does you can get an extension stamp in your passport.  I haven't heard of people burning through the 18 months as much as before though which is good.

I definitely will. Although I have no plans of travelling soon, I knowI will need my passport for ID when my 2 year green card expires in September. I have booked my appointment to renew my passport months ago but due to Covid19 it's been cancelled and the Philippine Consulate in Houston  suspended their passport application until further notice. I wish I've done it sooner but then Covid19 happened.

Thank you 😀
