I’m happy to report that my k1 fiancée visa petition was approved this past June 8th. I saw the approval online and I have received my approval notice in the mail. I know the petition is on its way to the national visa center. I have already emailed the news to my lawyer who for some reason acts like he could honestly care less and in the coming months I may have to deal with him in a negative way if forced to. But for now enough about lawyers. I’m sure countless others have asked this very same question so I guess it’s my turn. What’s next with the my k1 visa petition at the nvc? Is there anything I need to do anytime soon or do I just need to wait until I hear from the nvc? I’m thinking I need to give them about a month or 30 days or something to that effect. On the notice it also gave a timeline that my petition is good for but I do realize that this can and more than likely will be extended due to the covid 19 epidemic so I’m not concerned about that at this time. So again I’m just wondering what’s next?

Once it gets to the NVC until they send it to the consulate after it opens.  NVC is still operating with reduced staff.  Yup, the lawyer could care less; nothing for him to do from here on out unless there is an issue and I assume you pay him more.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.
