i got the approval notice on I-129f today

approved :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Just to note, you're VJ timeline predicted August 22, 2007 (versus August 14, 2007 actual, off only 8 days) for your I-129F approval and October 11, 2007 for your I-130 approval. Looks like VJ is doing well with the I-129F estimate.

Your I129 will be transfered to VCS you will be assigned some kinda number, it will be sent to your wife's embassy and you wife will recieve some kinda packet she fills up the forms and sends em over, she gets an interview date, she attends interview, gets her visa and she is here with you. Oh, and snailmail is regular mail which is as slow as a snail, as opposed to email which is practically instantaneous

Just clarifying for sau.. Hope you dont mind... Sorry if I overstepped... BTW, Sau, I would really recommend you to read guidelines (see above or search) for the next steps... Its got much more detail info, which I think will really help you for the rest of this process..

Congratulations on the approval of your petition!

As others have noted, your petition package will now go to NVC, where it will be routed to the US Consulate in Kathmandu. The US Consulate will then send a packet of forms for your wife to fill out. I'm not 100% sure about K-3 (we did K-1), but check the guides. I had to provide the I-134 and proof of an on-going relationship for my (now) husband for his interview.

Now is also a good time, in my opinion, to start preparing your wife for what she is likely to encounter during her interview at the Consulate. I invite you to read my review of the Consulate here:

I asked this question before, but never received a clear answer.

My noa1 for 129 is march 23. However, my case sat at VSC until May 02. Which date do I go by to see the time that its taking to process my case. The date of the noa1 or the date of the transfer to cali...
