hello,

 

After the embassy interview, I understand they will give me the approval on my visa and I should get a package to show at the USA border when I land, is it right?

can I finish all process and not move right away? there is a  deadline for moving to the USA after the interview?

If you get approved at interview, they will usually put a visa in your passport, and either send your passport back to you, or you pick it up. When you receive your passport back make sure you check the visa for accuracy. Make sure everything is right on the visa ( Name is important) It will also have a expiration date on the visa itself ( Usually 6 months from date of Medical). Make sure you enter the US with your visa by this date, or the visa becomes void. My fiancee at the time waited about 2 months to use her visa to clear everything up at Home before moving to the US, so you should have plenty of time to get things in order.

You may or may not get a packet to bring with you when you enter the US. My wife had a thick envelope with " DO NOT OPEN" on it to present to the CBP officer at point of entry. Many embassy's now are sending this packet electronically , so you may just get a single sheet of paper with your passport when it is returned telling you this. Then you don't need to babysit an envelope all the way to POE.

You can move to the US as soon as you have your Visa in your passport, and in your possession. Just make sure you arrive before the expiration date on the Visa.

Many embassies now everything is electronic and some not getting the brown envelope to take with them to give to the officer at the POE.
You have 6 months from date of your medical to enter the US.

Can I fly to the USA, sign, and get the document back to the USA after half a year? I'm scared of the coronavirus there and to move in a few months from now sounds too soon

Timeline and knowing what country (embassy),  what type of visa  helps the VJ community to answer 

you may have a ds5535 or ds 5540 and be in AP for a few days, or a few weeks or several months

and many times the medical has to be redone

OR you could be denied (very embassy dependent)
