Hi everyone,

I am a UK citizen but I currently live in Australia (Perth) which I have done for the last 3 years. I’ve have been on a 2 year working holiday visa. I’m currently on a bridging visa A while I wait for a decision to be made on my ‘last remaining relative’ visa which will grant me PR (if I was to stay) my parents are both permanent residents. So I’m not a permanent resident but I am legally here long term.

it didn’t even cross my mind until I seen other people in countries they aren’t citizens and now I’m worried I cannot do my interview in Sydney. I have emailed the embassy and they keep going on about the medical not the interview and I can’t seem to get a straight answer.

does anyone know if I can do my interview in Sydney or will I have to fly back to London ?

thank you in advance

If you are legally residing in Australia you would have your interview there. You did put your Australian address on the application correct? Otherwise you will have to transfer it from the uk

Looks like you just sent the I-129F.  When you get to the NVC after approval you'll want to make sure your DOS number starts with the right embassy/consulate code.  Im personally not sure what it is but Im sure someone can pop in with it!

Yes I did just send it :) thanks I will check that when the time comes.
I did put Perth on the application when it asks what embassy I will be using but I didn’t realise only Sydney does interviews. I’m sure they will know that though 😋

I can’t see your reply on here but I can on my emails.
my WHV have been and gone, I was just explaining my past :)  I’m on a bridging visa A while they make a decision on my current visa ‘last remaining relative’. I have been on this visa for just under a year
