Hey VJ!

The NVC has finally received my approved submission from USCIS for the CR-1! However, now I have to provide the NVC with my last 3 tax transcripts. When I go to the IRS website to get the transcripts https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript,  I put all of the information in required, to include the last 8 digits of my VISA Credit Card. When I do this, I get this error attached.

Well, IRS does not have a phone number to call, contact etc to fix this issue.  I have no idea why the error is showing up and now I'm just stuck not able to do anything. Does anybody have any suggestions for me? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you

unfortunately their phone is down at this time. This is truly a bummer. I wonder how long it's going to be down for.  NVC is going to think that I don't care to turn my transcripts in, when in actuality IRS is holding everything up

Ryan, I made a new thread because this old thread was not covering the topic that I was trying to get information about. Could you please delete this thread and keep the new one I made?

Why not just leave them merged?

People will start reading the first page and not see that I already had that inquiry solved.

I made another new thread specifically asking about how I could get my transcripts from IRS, since their website is not working. It's a completely different question. Didn't want people reading the first page and not wanting to contribute

Well you cant control other people, but creating multiple threads on the same subject (which this is) is spam and against the TOS.   You could try reporting Ryan's post and asking for the info to be moved to the first post of the thread?

How? I mean, their phone line is completely down, and I can't submit anything online.

You can't request them by mail on the website (even if the digital option doesn't work)?  I have been able to do that.

No because they've taken away that option because of the pandemic and only made the Transcripts available online. Go to the website and you'll see. Its a issue alot are having right now because not everyone can use the Online option and needed the by mail option but it says until further notice they aren't sending Transcripts by mail.

Wow, that sucks.  Well......you could print out that notice, and in lieu of transcripts provide complete W-2/1050 + all schedules.  I do not know details of how uploading docs to NVC works (did a K-1), but this sounds like it will be impacting enough people that there will have to be an acceptable alternative until IRS resumes transcript services.

It would be nice if they would be able to accept an alternative option. I will give NVC a call on Monday, (if THEY can even be called?) and see!

I called NVC. There is nothing else I can do until I am able to get the tax transcripts from IRS. So now I have to wait until either the IRS website works or they open the phone lines for support.

I appreciate you calling and letting everyone know how it went thanks so much.Thats crazy the NVC said we have to wait for Transcripts even though its not our fault we can't access the transcripts via online option? Will 1040's and W2s not suffice they said?

You're welcome! Sure! I know, it's wild.... You would think they'd have a functioning website. They sure have the money for the talent to fix it. From what the support person told me, it has to be those specific transcript forms. No other forms or documentation will do justice and she said I have to wait until I'm able to get through with IRS.

Long bump to this thread!

Did you ever end up getting all of your tax transcripts figured out for NVC / the embassy? My US wife is trying it now and isn't able to login, and also doesn't have a US phone number at the moment.
