Hardly makes a difference, you gain a few days by filing online, when you are talking 15 years or more to wait that’s not substantial. I personally like online filing because you know it’s received immediately etc.  (disclaimer I have not filed an i130 online but have filed other things with USCIS online)

The main advantage of filing online is it saves you the mailing cost and mailing time. It potentially helps prevent you from making an input mistake like forgetting a field, but no guarantees it will catch every clerical mistake.

The actual processing should be identical as a mailed form now.

They will probably be ok to emigrate with the parents even with a longer time frame than current, they’ll gain some CSPA protection.
