Were your answers to the questions during the interview in detail or just a brief recollection? Congrats!

Rest assure that most all the questions will be about the petitioner, the beneficiary, and the relationship. Always tell the truth even if the truth is "I don't know". Don't rush in answering and give a straightforward answer. Look the CO in the eye when answering and smile. Don't give a novel as your answer. Just brief and concise. Don't volunteer any information unless asked, this could send you down the wrong road.

If you don't mind me asking, how close was your medical date to your interview? I am hoping to have my medical on one day and my interview the next week so I don't have to travel to Montreal twice!

Still we rise, here and now

I had my medical exam done in Vaughan, Ontario. I made the appointment on pretty short notice (booked for the following Tuesday on Friday. They do the blood test and chest xray on-site there. It took 5 business days for the lab results to come back (they said it can take up to 8 business days.) Then it was shipped to me with next day shipping via FedEx.

I'd recommend getting the medical done at least 2 weeks ahead of time, just to be safe.

I did my medical exam 15 days before my interview, and I received my medical package 7 days before my interview.

I have heard that Montreal medical takes about three days on average. It will be costly for me to fly in and out twice but if its what I have to do I will do it. Thank you for your insight

Happy to help! Your initial plan may still be able to work out for you. I think if you fail to get the medical documents in time due to processing then there is a process to mail the documents to the embassy after your interview, with added delays of course for processing your Visa, but I am not sure on the details. I think it may be a viable plan B to consider. You'll have to fish around here or ask other people for more information, though!

I think either way my interview and medical all together is going to cost me around $2,000CAD sadly. I am expecting NOA2 for my I-129F any day now so we still have a little bit to go

Thats doable and what I did.  Give 3-4 days for the medical results.
