Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: England
Timeline

Hi - I'm a US citizen. I married my English sweetie 2/12/20 and I submitted the spouse visa on 2/19/20. I was looking ahead to next steps. and saw they will eventually ask me to complete then I-864 and it mention tax transcripts. I'm just trying to do as much as I can ahead of time to avoid delays so I've created an account on irs.gov. It says you can order tax transcripts, but does anyone know what kind are needed for the I-864? I"m assuming Wage & Income??? I'm getting ready to file my 2019 taxes so I'll order the transcripts closer to time when they actually ask for them, but just curious if anyone can verify what's needed. Thanks!

Return Transcript
Tax Return Transcripts show most line items from your tax return (Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ) as it was originally filed, including any accompanying forms and schedules. This transcript does not reflect any changes you, your representative or the IRS made after you filed your return. In many cases, a Return Transcript will meet the requirements of lending institutions offering mortgages and student loans.

Record of Account Transcript
Record of Account Transcripts combine the information from tax account and tax return transcripts.

Account Transcript
Tax Account Transcripts provide any adjustments either you or we made after you filed your return. This transcript shows basic data, including marital status, type of return filed, adjusted gross income and taxable income.

Wage & Income Transcript
Wage and Income Transcripts show data from information returns, such as W-2s, 1099s and 1098s, reported to the IRS. Most recent year information may not be complete until July.

When you log in to your account, it asks to state the reason for requesting a transcript. One of the options is "Immigration". Once to select that, it will highlight what you need, which is the "Return transcript".
