Hello,

How should I list my commission on the i-134? I have a quota, which if I hit I will make 100% of my commission. I could make more if I go over my goal, or make less if I don't hit my goal. Do I just add the 100% goal to my base salary and list that as my yearly salary?

Also, if I do a cosponsor, do we both fill out separate I-134s? is there any difference in how the sponsor and co sponsor form should look?

Calculate monthly average income by dividing total income from last several months by the number of months.

Annual income= 12 X Monthly average

if using cosponsor, both of you will fill separate i134s. The form is the same and will look the same, the info will be different.

Thank you.

I just started earning commission about a month ago and it's quarterly, so it doesn't show in my pay yet unfortunately. If I just do the monthly average it will show me make a lot less than I am now. Do you think I could just add the 100% commission to my base salary and then make a note in the additional info section breaking down the base salary and commission, and that my commission will fluctuate?

Also is there anything that indicates that my cosponsor is my cosponsor? Will they write "cosponsor" anywhere on the form?

Q1. Explain your salary package on an addendum (separate sheet of paper) to the I-134. At the interview it can be discussed with the CO but it must be understood how it works with your beneficiary for him/her to explain if any questions arise unless of course you are at the interview and the CO allows you to be at the window during the interview.

Q2. Make two packages, one yours and one the cosponsor. Let the CO at the interview determine how they are labeled.

Future/potential earnings are not considered.

The role of the cosponsor will be understood, as you, the petitioner, are always the primary sponsor regardless of income.
