I went for the interview on 4th December 2020, my babys certificate had an issue and was asked to provide evidence of our relationship. I sent all reqired document in one week. After several weeks my case being on administrative processing, i sent an email to the embassy and my case and in four days it changed to APPLICATION RECEIVED-NON-IMMIGRANT. its been two weeks now in the same status. who else has received the visa and how long did it take in APPLICATION RECEIVED status.

Every embassy/consulate is different and every case is different when it comes to post-interview application processing. VisaJourney doesn't track it on timelines, and USCIS does not release any stats on it.

Our case spent 12 days in non-immigrant application received in Moscow (this was the only part of the process from petition to 2-year green card that was slower than average at the time for us), and then moved through non-immigrant administrative processing to issued the next day, but that doesn't say anything about yours.

If you are filing for your wife you can't file for a K1 visa, so you will have a completely different process

It took me forever to book an appointment, I sent emails or several occasions all they told me was immigrant visas are on demand so I have to be on the look out on available appointment. Luckily I got for December 5th 2019. Did my medical two weeks earlier... it was time for our interview. I kind of nerves but had to stay put. Our Attorney advised us to least expect the visa as the consular officer is the one makes the final decision.

everything went on smoothly as per the consular but the certificate I had looked not okay according to her. (It’s very vital to verify all your origami documents before the interview) I was later given 221g and asked to send evidence that my daughter is truly mine. I did send all and tried to gather for more. The while December our case was updated I think 5 times and January once. Sent an email to the embassy and it moved to Application Received and asked to send our passports. “ it moved from Immigrants to non-immigrant” it’s been two weeks now. Am hoping for good news soon

Is the application from Kenya. One month is a long time. They have your passport?C4A73332-6DEE-42D2-B029-D5F9DA2DCC50.thumb.jpeg.4d73e517006977a11b35b9375e9ad7b5.jpeg

You guys will go for a K3. The process is a big longer but worth it. She will join you with a permanent residency unlike k1.

If they have a passport it’s a good thing. From what have had “Application Received “ happens when they are about to issue a visa. Let us know when your visa is issued. All the best Aand

A wife it’s K3. So for K3 I don’t know if you start with I-129f but it’s good to consult with an attorney or someone else who can advise better.
