Hello February filers!

I just filed my i751 (February 29). After reading visajourney stories and timelines I got concerned that it is kinda late since my green card expires on March 20 :( Constantly checking USPS tracking.

I filed about a month ago with less than 3 weeks to green card expiration.

I have the extension letter and already did the biometrics in less than a month.

When I said you filed late I meant from your 90 day window before expiration of gc , but still on time👍🏼

Thank you guys for reassuring responses! I feel better now.

The package should be delivered to their PO box by 4 of March. Do you think Is it ok if the extension letter will come after expiration date? No need in traveling or updating my drivers license so far.

Oh I was expecting a letter with a header that says "extension letter". I guess this NOA is their version of it :) or maybe I am expecting too much eh :D

you would be able to travel or update your DsL when you get the extension letter which will extend your legal status 18 months starting the date your gc expires

I sent my Application for ROC on Feb 27th to PHOENIX, AZ address.

packet received  on 29th Feb 2020

🤞 my current GC expires on March 22. I am terrified about the potential of not having time to renew my drivers license. I need to go to work 😓 to be able to pay bills.

Hi Kriss03!

Many people here are concerned about their Drivers license renewal. I have mine valid several years after expiration date of my conditional GC. Do I get it wrong? Should I necessarily renew it when I get letter from USCIS?

If your Drivers license is valid then you don't have to get it again.

Generally in many states DMV gives DL validity same as the immigration document submitted along with it. As my GC expires on 22 March so is my DL.

I also thought so but turns out it varies a lot across the states. Good luck!

I am also concerned, but about delivering my package on time before expiration date. It is still in transit.
