For some reason I had an urge to check my case status and viola.... they transferred my case to another office 😅

Which office? We shall see...

image.thumb.png.0d425d74b121444b80167db976b07915.png

Just to give an update. I was able to get a real person to talk to from the call center. Lo and behold, their system is showing that there was a 2nd notice, same date as the one that I got that my case was transferred back to Vermont. Ggrrrrrr. I was so paranoid that with all this transfers, they will loose my documents but it looks like it never left Vermont office. Haist!!!

Since the field offices never really answer any inquiry via Phone they suggested to send a formal letter, so that is what I will do.

I will keep you guys posted.

So my wife's receipt number also started with LIN and the status changed similarly to yours. 5/13/2020 fingerprints reused from previous biometrics and then yesterday (1/6/2020) new card has been ordered, with no other updates in between.

That happened a lot faster than we expected. Will update further once we get notice card is mailed or we receive it.

Update:

The reporting sequence was strange. It changed to "New Card Ordered," then "Case Was Approved" the next day, and then "Card Was Mailed to Me" the day after that.

Congratulations! Where did your card originate? I think mine might be showing in my informed delivery but it might not make sense because it's coming from Las Cruces, NM.

Mine was made at USCIS Corbin, KY facility. So that’s where it originated from. The informed delivery shows a tracking number starts with 92 and above it it says “USCIS Corbin Facility”.

That is the new reporting sequence now....Card is ordered before you get the approval message. You will get your card before getting the approval letter. I think they might be handled from different locations ( might be wrong)...

Anyway, the sequence i cared about was " New Card Ordered"

We received our approval letter today. Notice was dated 1/6/2021 and ours was a LIN receipt case. Very exciting for this process to be completed. No interview was requested and biometrics were used from previous biometric appointment.

Hi everyone,

My case was updated today: New Card Is Being Produced

I am one of a few of us that applied with a waiver. I didn't have an interview at all, not for the first green card or this one. My only interview was at the embassy in my country during the K-1 process. Here is the rest of my timeline.

No, my case has only been at SRC.

For the documents, my attorney made sure that I included not only evidence of a good faith marriage, but also all of the evidence of why the marriage ended.

She took my statement and put together my affidavit containing everything from the day we met to the divorce. Accompanying my affidavit were screenshots of why our marriage ended and our communication around the time of separation.

Also, affidavits of two friends who knew us as a couple and spent time with us, this is super important. Other things were:

- apartment leases and my ex-spouse asking to abandon the last lease he was on

- joint income tax transcripts

- joint medical insurance coverage

- joint car insurance

- joint vehicle registrations

- joint utilities (water, electricity) and other memberships (Costco etc.)

- a lot of pictures (from when we started dating all through the marriage)
