Hi Everyone,

                       Need some expert advice as I just became a US citizen and want to apply for mu fathers I130 petition for his immigration process.  I want to know ,

1- what documents are required or preferred for this case 
2- what are the current processing time for these cases for pakistan  visa category IR-5 

3- I have a sister who is 20 years old and FT student . Can she or will she be able to come with him and how do we notify this on the application  
will appreciate your kind feedback .

I am not an expert, but this question is asked pretty often here.

 

1.  Read the guides See link below

2.  At least a year

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Agreed.

 

Father's proces will take about a year.

This site and the guides has everything to help you with the process.

No, sister will not be able to come with father at that time. She is considered an adult.

I would expect longer than a year, we have AP to factor in.

 

You need to separately sponsor a sister.

To clarify

parent is IR5 category, immediate relative categories cannot bring derivatives (so even if she was a minor it’s still not possible to include her on that petition)

you can sponsor her separately as sibling under F4 category, expect a wait time of 15 years plus before she gets a visa (upside is she can bring derivatives so if she gets a husband and kids by the time her visa is available they can come with)
