Naturalization Background Check

From what I have seen on this forum, in the vast majority of cases the background check is done immediately after biometrics and the results are rapid (days). Presumably it's some type of electronic/database check or something like that. Thereafter the wait (for an interview) in the majority of cases is almost 100% due to whatever is going on at the local field office. 

 

Maybe there are exceptions to that depending on the way people answer the security/background information questions....it's possible.

My husband naturalized through Manchester, NH. Took 5 months, 3 months of that was waiting for swearing in ceremony. His interview was less than 2 months after he applied.

i am talking about several  other countries

like the VJer who had worked in Saudi and their original case was returned here for a year while they checked the saudi criminal records

and if a person starts traveling after coming to the US to the middle east ,  don't you really think USCIS will check it

I imagine you are right. I travelled emirates a few times and transited in Dubai < 24 hours sometimes and I was quizzed about that during my global entry interview
