Okay, surely I feel like an idiot when I am working on these forms. Question, hopefully simple answer.

My fiance (the beneficiary) HAS a passport. However they have NOT entered the US. Do I put anything here? Thank you!

If your fiancé is currently in the US with you, you fill it in. If your fiancé is in his/her home country right now, you don't put anything there.

Could you make one thread where you ask each of your questions in. It's OK to ask a question and it be answered and then you ask another question and its answer so on and so forth. Make the website so much cleaner and we can follow along with what you are doing and help as best we can. Thank you.

Good Morning ,

Can you explain to me how to do so? Do I merge my current questions into one? I'm new here and new to forums/communities in general so I apologize for my ignorance. Thanks.

No problem. We all started at the same place you are.

Let's start with this thread. Here you can keep asking questions and other will answer. No need to start and new thread with a new subject.

You don't need to merge your other questions to this document as a MOD must do that. Just begin asking additional questions in this thread. Good luck.

Please offer advise on this - I have met my fiance in person (last September) and will stay with him again in Mexico this February. We would ideally like to submit our visa after that, sooner better knowing that the process takes a long time (especially the interview appointment wait for the embassy in his country). But we both have slight concern that two visits might not be considered enough?

Now I know that they require "one" visit within the last 2 years. However I see some couples who have 5+ and I wonder how this could affect getting approved having two? Is it "worth" waiting to actually submit this visa until we have more? We are already engaged, been together over two years.. would like to be living together and get married as soon as we can really.

Second question is regarding how we met in person (Item 54 on the K1 Visa) : Do you suggest descriptive detail or keeping it simple?

Opinions on this matter please. Thank you, always greatly appreciated!

You can submit now rather than waiting. My fiancée lives in Asia and I'm in the US. We met once before I submitted the i129f.

We are already engaged, been together over two years.. would like to be living together and get married as soon as we can really. As others have mentioned, only one visit is required to the purposes of meeting the K1 Visa requirements. That being said, it Is never considered a bad thing to have more than one visit, and for some interviewing embassy/consulates, the more visits the better. I wish I could say in your case, but your fiancé's county is unknown at this time.

Second question is regarding how we met in person (Item 54 on the K1 Visa) : Do you suggest descriptive detail or keeping it simple? Keep in simple. What you need to concentrate on is having a good balance of all of the evidence examples to present with the K1 petition and/or at the visa/interview mentioned in the VJ K1 Visa Step-by-step Guide, https://www.visajourney.com/guides/k1-fiance-visa/

Good luck on your immigration journey, and Happy Holidays !!

Thank you so much! After taking a bit of time to allow everything to process, I think we have a pretty clear idea of everything. I was under the impression that we needed to show more visits prior to sending the I 129F form, when I think the more important time will be between sending that and prior to his interview. And if that's the case, I am not worried. I already have 2 visits coming in 2020, and possibly three in total. So I will continue preparing this and we will send off in beginning of March. Thanks for your response and Happy Holidays to you as well!
