WAC filer here (Bay area). Today I got a notification that my case was transferred to another USCIS office. I filed for my ROC first week of December 2019, July 2020 they reuse my fingerprint, my window for N400 open on Nov. 29 and applied the same day coz I want to avoid that 2020 version of civic test LOL...

Do you think they transferred it because you applied for naturalization? Or did you get the notification before you applied for N-400?

I got the notification 4 days after they received my naturalization application. I’m not certain if the reason behind was my n400 but I read in another forum that there’s a bunch of California CS cases has been transferred to another CS.

Hi Guys,

what are you thoughts? is it better to apply for N-400 as soon as you can? (this will zero out the wait time for I-751 though)

or just wait for ROC result and a new green card? then, apply for N-400 (then getting a passport will take who knows how much longer)

also, I wonder if they will announce a new date for fees  increase (they should do it 30 or 60 days in advance, right?)

It is totally up to you. My marriage has been going through some rough patches and I decided to wait for ROC to be over before I apply for naturalization. That is just in case if things come to matter of divorce. But everyone’s situation is different so you have to decide for yourself :)

Did you get approved before or after filing for N-400? Was your case transferred to another center or stayed with WAC? Can you share these important details please? thanks!
