Dear Friends,

My spouse and her 2 little kids had their case DQ for interview in Mumbai (India) but not sure when we will get an interview. My brother lives in Botswana (Africa) and gave me an idea to have NVC interview her in Botswana as there is hardly any backlog there (not sure).

Can we get this moved or done? If anyone can share some ideas or their experiences I will be very obliged. Thank you.

She can only have the interview where she legally resides.  If there's no reason for her to be in botswana, like she wasn't born there and isn't there working etc, she can't interview there.

No. She can only interview at either her country of citizenship/nationality or where she has legal residence.

Think about it, allowing it otherwise will lead to "Consulate shopping". Why would anyone interview in Mumbai anymore? They will all flock to places like London.

Just a nit but NVC does not conduct visa interviews.  They schedule them.
