Hi all!!

My fiancé makes decent money (above the poverty guidelines) However due to his high financial responsibilities, his average balances in his bank accounts are quite low. Will this effect our visa process?? We are filling out the i-134 and not sure what to put in the question about account balances.

TIA 🙂

Bank statements aren't needed

But there is a question on the I-134 for asking about the total balance of all accounts. And my fiancé’s balance is quite low due to his financial obligations, even though he makes a decent living

Yup there are lots of questions on the I-134 that just don't relate to the K-1 visa.  The I-134 is a generic non-immigrant visa form, K-1 is processed as an immigrant visa.

If you income is adequate to meet the I-864P poverty guidelines and you are not using assets in a bank account you don't need the bank statements.

If you want to include them, that is up to you.

Unless you are using assets to qualify, you do not need to send statements. I did not . The bank balance sections on the forms i filled out with my average daily balance. It is the tax transcripts and current paystubs that will be required and important.

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/7/2019      Interview- Norfolk

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

Leave it blank. Not needed for a London interview. One tax return or an employer letter will get you approved.

No, he needs to provide his transcripts.  They are free from the IRS.
