How long does NVC take to review resubmitted documents?

Hi All,

Why do we also have to email documents to NVC when we are uploading and completing everything on the online portal?

The instructions say:

"If your case IS processing electronically, please scan and email your documents to: NVCElectronic@state.gov"

Is this just the required documents for the Immigrant Visa or the Affidavit of Support, as well, and if we have to resubmit, do we send another email?

Hi all,

NVC have approved the majority of the supporting documents (passport page, head shots, birth certs, etc) I submitted for mine and my wife’s F4 case, but they asked me to resubmit some which they said we’re the wrong way up. I did this straight away. That was almost three weeks ago, I’ve had no contact from them since, and our CEAC Civil Documents statuses still show as ‘Submitted’. Does anyone know how long it normally takes to hear something from NVC if you’ve had to resubmit documents?

Many thanks

Hi, So for us it takes roughly 3 months to know if the documents are accepted. We had to do that 3 times already. Hope this helps! 👍

I got an email from NVC saying that my case is documentarily qualified. I re-submitted my document on March 17, 2020 and got approved on May 18, 2020. It took exactly 8 weeks-(60 days) standard time frame.

What type of visa are you applying for?
