The NVC has sent our 129f package to the consulate in Morocco but how do we schedule an interview or know what to do from here? Do we have to wait for the consulate to contact us first? I have tried calling the consulate and its a mess, the phone system doesn't work correctly and automatically hangs up. I've emailed the consulate and am getting no where. Does anyone know once the NVC sends the packet to the consulate....what we are supposed to do for a fiancé visa?

It's 3 to 4 months right now for an interview. You can email them via their contact page at https://ma.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/immigrant-visa-unit-contact-form/ Then wait for them to schedule you. It's been painfully slow. We've been waiting 3 months with no interview date yet.

Based on your timeline, unless the embassy gets caught up with the backlog of applicants, you are looking at December to find out a date for an interview.

they are extremely backed up as seen in my previous posts

they are backlogged doing ds 5535 since last November ( a few are over a year) /  derik and liala CR1 interrviewed in december and still wait to hear about a decision

the Casa interviewed in June and July heavily for DV lottery and approved in those 2 months 206 DV1,  38 DV2, and 56 DV3/  this along with 2,230 tourist visas

they still were interviewing and approving K1 , CR1 and IR1 but all these involve an long AP for the new ds 160 and 260 security checks for social media.  Seems the Casa embassy has gone overboard with the new requirements .

You are not looking to get (if approved ) a visa till 2020

you can look to this site for approvals if interested / august will not be up till late September

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics.html

The embassy does little to respond to emails and phone calls

You will get a notice for the interview when they are ready with a list of accepted drs and request for doing the 2 police reports

a Fiche Anthropometrique and a Casier Judiciaire from the Central Police station at their place of residence

The notice should come to do these 2 to 3 weeks before the interview

At this time there are 3 Casa drs and will find the list on the following site

https://ma.usembassy.gov/medical-exam-instructions/

you can not schedule till you have a notice to take to the dr from the embassy

and travel to the USA must be done withing 6 months of the medical exam

good luck

allah yekbel

Our papers have been at the Casablanca embassy since end of June...do we do the ds-160 now? Or do we wait to hear from them?

Hello,

they'll send you the interview date and what to bring. Our wait time since getting an email from nvc was roughly 5 months, we had to bombard the consulate with emails just to get the interview.

Can I ask what email address you sent messages to? I'm not sure what one to email

Just their regular email ivcasablanca@state.gov. I had email them a few times and for months they ignored me, just send as many as you can in a row. It’s literally the only way they’ll respond, you’ll also get that automated email right after just ignore it.
