Trying to fight the process seems like it would be a big effort and stress for nothing.

There's another issue I would like to ask about.  For those of you who have had a positive sputum culture did you receive notice as soon as the culture turned positive (ie 1 week or 2 weeks or 3 weeks etc) or did SLEC make you wait the full 8 weeks before notification.

The most recent cases on VJ have received notification before the eight weeks were up. That is not a good sign....

I disagree.  The sooner you're notified you're positive the sooner you can begin treatment.  Also, if you study this

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4573350/ article you will find that 99+% of all positives occur within 4 weeks so if you haven't been notified by then it's probably safe to make plans.  At least that's what I intend.  If SLEC waited the full  8 weeks to notify everybody at once they would be wasting a lot of people's time.  It wouldn't surprise me if they did that.  that's why I asked the question.
