HI, few years back it took me about a month from the NVC to have my interview. That was back in 2016 so not sure if it's the same now.

Don't confuse my personality with my attitude....My personality is who I am, my attitude depends on who you are...

it is very dependent on the USC and you /  the USC  has to pay 2 fees and send fill out the I 864 and you fill out the ds260 (after CEAC says payment is paid)

then the USC has to send in supporting documents (income verification like copies of IRS transcripts and your criminal report )/ you will take originals to the interview if that is next question

When you receive notice from NVC with your new case number,  you can see updates on this site:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

and yes Nebraska is slow because they are bombarded with applications

but you are close now

for CR1 NVC schedules the interview so you will not wait like K1 to schedule your own

Thank you for your answer .

We already looked at which documents we need to bring at the interview and what NVC asked to be as fast as possible .

Yes now we are close .

ok thank you for the info 🙂.

We are in the same situation except for a k1 visa, got our petition approved last week .. As of now it looks like it takes at least 4 or 5 months to get an appointment at the Paris embassy .... Or maybe they didn't have a lot of appointment for July and August as employees in France take their leave during that period ( just a supposition) ..

fingers crossed we can get an appointment by the end of the year !

First congratulations!! 🎉🎉

i think and as you said that in

July  /August there is not a lot of people working . Always the same with our French administration . They will probably go back to “normal”work at the end of the month after their holidays under the sun of my Corsican island lol 😝

But 4/5months for an appointment seems long 😱

after more than 11 months stuck in NSC just for an NOA2 it’s awful ..

I am not at this stage yet but I pray the same 🙏

fingers crossed  for all the rest of the process being smoother for everyone!

I'm sorry to have to say it... but the next few avalaible dates for K1 interviews are now on Jan 8 & 22. It seems that for this type of visa they do open only 2 half-days per month with only 2 appointments per day... So frustrating to have to wait such a long time..

Did you try to make an appointment and saw that ? :(

It is very frustrating and sad having to be apart just because they have so few interviews ..But it is what it is I guess nothing we can change

Yes I made my appointment, and think it was the last for this year... on Dec. 18...

And yes it's so frustrating, but it is what it is and nobody can't change it... so just be more patient this is our final countdown... :)
