Consulate Review: France
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 25, 2016
Embassy Review : Had my interview today,

Everything went really well, my appointment was 9.30 and got there early, I was allowed in at around quarter past and everything was really well organize as you can imagine.

First had to do an airport security check before showing my passport and interview letter, they ask me to mull out some documents, DS260, police certificate, passport, medical result.
Then I was invited to get in and they took all electronics from me (cell phone, iwatch ...), then you can finally enter the embassy where i waited to get to the first counter, a french lady asked me all the paper work and took all originals document, she did the biometric (finger print), she was serious and efficient.

After that I was invited to wait on a line where the interview takes place, I was a bit stressed because someone was standing behind the lady consular, I quickly realized that it was only a guy who was training to do the job. She asked me few questions about my wife, job and where does she live, also who we met, where, then she asked me few questions about what kind of job I will apply for.

That was it, she typed a lot on the computer and explained things to the trainee, the she said the four magic words, "congratulation you are approved" enjoy your new life !

She never wanted to see pictures or proof of relationship !

Thank god this part is over !
Rating : Very Good

I just realized your interview for your CR1 visa was in 2016. I was about to say... that is a long wait time! Congratulations on your citizenship approval! ^_^

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
