My interview is supposed to be on April 13, 2020 in D.C area. USCIS canceled the interview due to unforeseen circumstances and will advised  me for further action. Anyone receive the same letter?

My interview is the same date as yours in the DC office field as well, but have not received any notification yet, how did you received your notification?

Hello!

I figured I'd ask the vets who had already passed the trenches or those close to the finishing line :) I'm about to submit the online application under the 3 year rule.

Quick question, I tried to find it online but no success so far.

Part 10 Question 8 - How many times has your current spouse been married?

Neither my husband nor I were married before, so we answered "No" when asked if we had been married previously in the online application. However, when I downloaded N400 form in the end of the online application, it was automatically filled out as "1" in Part 10 Q3 (How many times have you been married) and "0" in Part 10 Q8 (How many times has your current spouse been married). I was told that Part 10 Q8 should be "1" in our case, but there is no way for me to change it in the actual form as the online question is worded a little differently.

Your advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks

That is correct. Part 10 Q3 (How many times you've been married, including your current marriage) and Part 10 Q8 (if your spouse has been married before, not including your current marriage). Hope this makes sense.

Good luck!

My wife's interview was scheduled for this morning, but with news of the office closures we will just wait for rescheduling.

Did everyone affected receive a call or notice?  We haven't received anything.

Nevermind.  There was a letter in the Documents section de-scheduling the interview that I never saw.

I checked my online account and under the Documents there's the "Interview De-Schedule" letter.

We kinda go through it this way. First you are impatient, and expect a time to get it finished. And then once and once again that expectation is crushed, and then you get more and more impatient and stressed. You then write letters to senators and representatives. Eventually you just get numb. When I applied in Oct 2018 I never thought that it could possibly get carried into 2020 and here we are. I'm at 18 months currently. I'm numb and I've accepted it. My interview, the only thing that made me happy in a long while, has been cancelled three times. Throughout my life I've been pretty much able to get what I wanted, when I wanted. This is something on a completely different dimension. It tells you that you have zero control, and it trains your patience like nothing else could.

2015-03-23 AOS filed

Not yet. Did you? I dont think they will reschedule interviews soon. They will wait until the stay at home order ends. And since the president extended it until April 30th, I think we wont get an interview anytime soon. maybe in May the earliest :(

I had my interview in Boston on March 10, and was approved. The online status says that naturalization ceremony was scheduled on March 11. No update since. I am assuming that I will not get any update until USCIS reopens. God know when that will be.

Any ideas if USCIS will skip the ceremony and just mail naturalization certificates? Those of us who passed the interview are just in a limbo. No voters' registration, no passport, so SSN update. It's worrisome because no one knows when this will end.

I do not think they will mail certificates because part of the oath ceremony is to take an oath and allegiance to the US. And you have to be physically there in order to do that. Lets hope this will end soon.
