I've been watching/studying charts & graphs on VJ for months and until today everything I've seen says the time from NOA 2 until the USEM interview is 2-3 months assuming everything goes smoothly......a big assumption, I know.  Today I decided to look at timelines similar to mine and instead of 2-3 months it's close to a 148 day average.  What should I believe?  Beneficiary is a K1 applicant living near Manila.

Not everyone interviews ASAP.  My now wife interviewed 2 months later than the earliest we could have.   Our choice

YMMV

That never even occurred to me because everyone (myself included) is in such a hurry.

We could have interviewed in early December but she wanted to enter the USA with me and I could not be there until March,  so we did it leisurely rather than rushed

For us, we got the NOA2 the beginning of February, the interview was completed 6 weeks later  ... then we goofed off for almost 2 months before flying back to the states.

We could have gotten it done a little quicker but my wife was in Malaysia on vacation ..

My now-wife waited ~2 months to finish up a contract back in KSA, then to spend her birthday at home and on a week vacation with them (since we knew AP was taking several months once she got here).

Edit: That period where she can't work or really travel anywhere is very difficult. I was WFH every day (office leased expired and we were getting a new place later in the year), which made it more challenging to be at home with her but not able to really converse either. I legitimately think she would have lost it had it not been for that extra couple months back home first.

When people do not complete their timelines, it skews the data. Also, my case went really quick and we could have gotten it done slightly quicker, but my fiancé waited it out a little bit with her interview and CFO class.

Actually not.   If people don't complete their timeline that data point never enters the calculation.   Its more about significant errors (typos) in data entry such as entering a date dd/mm/yyyy instead of  mm/dd/yyyy

YMMV

Thanks. I had no idea. I have read so many times that people who do not complete or update their timelines, then the data gets messed up.

Many people respond and simply forget to include the last word.  It's because people who do not complete or update their timelines....  correctly

YMMV
