Question about traveling with conditional GC

Hi, i was wondering can my wife travel with me with her 2 years conditional GC back to home country this coming October and come back end of November. Her GC expired on 4 April 2020. We trying to go back before 90 days removal conditions.

NO issue with conditional green card.   Mary has traveled back twice to the Philippines and once to Canada.  About once a month to Mexico we go for a long weekend.

Yep, Katya traveled multiple times to visit her mother on her CGC and had no issues.

No issue as long as she returns before the card actually expires.

Yes, if she is just going for a short period of time and will be back before the card expires there is no issue at all.

How short do mean..is 1 month and half or 2 month ok?

Less than 6 months is fine.

If the card is about ready to expire, they should have their extension letter from the ROC with them (I hope).  Katya was actually out of the country when her 2 year GC expired, but of course she had filed the ROC and had her extension letter with her and again had no issues.

We just did the same. No problem with expired GC, so long as you have the extension letter. In VN, make sure her airline ticket(s) have her name in same order as VN passport. My wife's tickets had been "Americanized" and had the name out of order - the VN airport security agent was a jerk and delayed us. Getting back into the U.S. was no problem (LAX).
