How do you know your N-400 has been approved?

I would simply wait for a ceremony notice to appear (N-445) in the mail. Or, like me, you can call and ask them -- without needing to be transferred to Tier II they were able to tell me the date, time and location of my naturalization ceremony which was cemented further when I received the N-445 a few days later.

Be prepared for the eternal waiting game. Be prepared for average news.

OK, so it's just a change in online status, not a written notice? My online statuses are a little contradictory: egov says a quality review is ongoing, while myuscis says approved.

I find this two separate websites contradicting because of what they written on the status. I would say once they updated your status to in line for oath ceremony, that means you're approved.

You will not gonna receive any letter for approval, USCIS will only send letter for oath taking which is the N-445.

Congratulations! Mine was the same. Just go with your myuscis notification, That egov notification won't change until your oath date has been scheduled. I got my oath notification 46 days after interview. i even called them after 30 days bec I was worried about that qual review but they assured me that there were no flags and to just wait for the oath notification.

You will see this kind of notification online.  My interview was June 28, approved July 3, 2019 ( since I-751 was pending, approved on the same day). Oath July 15, 2019

@afrocraftI forgot to mention that I rarely looked at my egov acct so the notification I keep mentioning here is text notification. I was always confused by that 'in line for oath' that everyone keeps mentioning about bec i dont see that in my text. Anyways, I always go to myUSCIS acct because it's where we applied and submitted the n-400.

my egov online notifications are not as straightforward as @dilip. mine was qual review, in line, qual review (all same dates though) then scheduled...
