Hi all,

I submitted application (I-130) on September 2018 and there's only 1 update. It's been 10 months and the Nebraska keeps postponing its processing date. They were processing July application 2-3 months again and now they are now only processing end of May 2018.

Any user is having the same issue?

Yes, everybody with an I-130 (petition not application) at that service center.

Not sure what you mean.  They have posted a processing time of 11-14 months forever.

Typo on my original post.

USCIS used to state it was processing July petitions 2-3 months ago but it was postponed.

Wasn't it supposed to be 5-7 months?

For Cr-1?  In all my years here, I have never seen it be 5-7 months.   K-1, yes.  CR-1, no.

"It was postponed." is your interpretation.  More accurate, is it was updated.

There is no "supposed to".  It will be what it will be.

lol I guess you are right. It depends how you look at it.

The fact is, it was changed to a longer period time then it originally stated.

Is Nebraska always the slower office? All other offices are handling petition that was submitted in September and/or October. The only office that is slower is the one in Cali.

Nebraska has been the slowest to adjudicate I-130s for a while now.  I used to agonize over the petition approval wait when we were at that phase.  It is very frustrating because the file is not being "processed," it's just sitting in a room somewhere for months and months waiting to be reviewed by someone.  The backlog and mismanagement at USCIS is legend. You can find historical data here on VJ and from that you will see that the processing times have varied by service center over the years.  It doesn't make sense when Nebraska filers are waiting over a year and we were lucky and got Texas and the petition was approved in 7 months, Potomac 4 or 5 months.  It's crazy.  But all you can do is try not to stress about something you have no control over, and patiently wait, lots of messages, emails, and video calls, maybe try to visit each other as often as you can.  I visited my husband every two months during the petition waiting process and that really helped us get through it.  Good luck!

We did the same. Our receipt date is September 26 (2018) and we are still waiting. We thought the whole process, including the visa would take 9 to 12 months. Unfortunately, after 10 months, we are stuck in Nebraska.
