10 yr GC is all he needs to bring n surrender for the oath ceremony.

Not really, its case to case basis and it depends on the area. We we're told that we have to surrender all the cards that were issued to us, it's clearly stipulated on the N-445.

Not sure how to deal with the lost cards though since I never lost all my cards even the expired ones.

So the oath ceremony questionnaire you get in the mail that you're supposed to bring to the ceremony it does say not to fill it out till day of ceremony. Does it matter where it's filled out on that day? Can it be filled out at home before going to ceremony or does it need to be filled out and signed in USCIS' officers presence at the ceremony?

The USCIS clerk will tell all the oath takers to fill up the form before they will take it with a 10yrs green card and you need to put the city where the oath taking ceremony held not the city where you live I got mistake for this I was filled out at house then put my city because it said on the form the city where you signed it,  so I need to crossed out and put my initial on it. congrats

All the cards if still in possession. Any EAD or AP cards not in hand, USCIS doesn’t care. There are tons of people like me who shred or throw away EAD/APs after getting GC 😀.

But not all oath taking ceremonies are the same, some are more strict when it comes to returning all the issued cards.

If expired cards are not longer available then applicant should have better explanation why they don't have it anymore.

At my ceremony there was no time so I had it ready already and just gave it to an attendant. He took it without complaints.

Did you have on the form where you signed it (ie: at home) or where you were having your oath?

Shoot my hubby filled out where it was signed. He's in line already and I've had to go sit with the rest of the guests.

Don’t worry about it, they will simply make him write the correct location if me mentioned his home location.

I agree, however only the GC or travel permit for refugees case is a must. For APs or EADs, it’s only if you may have it still, if asked in rare cases, shredded is the best explanation.

I wrote the name of my city. It was the same city where the ceremony was held so no problem.

How did his oath go? Congratulations!

It went well. When he handed his paper in they didn't tell him he needed to correct it and we don't live in the same city as the ceremony was. 525 people were naturalized from 78 different countries.
