Congress doesn't care. Petitioners aren't the face of immigration on TV. It's the illegal aliens crossing the border that is the face of immigration right now. News local and national aren't interested in shining light to the issues. Congressional reps just have the interns doing work and they aren't escalating anything to the representative so they aren't going to get involved. 

You have Potomac processing cases within 90 days 
You have Texas processing at about 7+ months
Then there's Nebraska processing 10+ months. 

They don't update the processing times truthfully. They are never going to show Potomac with the true processing time. It would enrage Nebraska/Texas filers. I could easily post YSC receipt numbers with approvals, but I think it's frowned and not allowed on here. 

There's even a YSC petitioner that was a LPR that upgraded to USC 3/27/2019 got adjusted by 3/28/2019 and then the petition was sent to the state dept on 4/23/2019 

The mismanagement is horrible. I can't phantom how people accept these types of results from an agency that is driven by user fees. That's like me going to a business asking for something and not knowing when I'd get what I purchased. Would that business last? Nope, but this is the gov't where waste is #1 goal.

nothing really a congressman can do

you can sign a paper for your information to be released to them/

and they will ask Department of HOmeland Security to investigate /then google your own name and see it on internet that DHS has been asked to look at it

then you will hear the same news from senator they tell you

congress writes the immigartion laws but they have no control over immigration/  told to me by Senator Corker 

immigration is not under a federal budget but works from our feew

also this does not hurry anything up 

the embassy works at their pace

but we went thru all this and wrote to everyone from the President to each Rep and Senator and several others 

only thing that they did was write an email just before our last interview which i was not privy to see

BTW you need to know the view of any congressman before you do anything / you could stir up your own "hornet's nest"
