It doesn't cost anything, but getting an appointment in COVID times was a struggle. They don't set up Infopass appointments online anymore, so you have to call, and then have a super legit reason to get a stamp. Usually it's valid for a year, but because of my exceptional luck I got mine for only 6 months, so that's possible too.

Thank you, that's very informative. Good luck with your case...

Where should I go to get info pass?

You should call USCIS and request an info pass appointment.  As mentioned above, you need to have a valid reason to schedule an appointment for the stamp...saying "because my 18 month extension letter is expired" is not reason alone.  In my case, I received a letter from DMV saying I need to renew my license (the expiration date on the license was the same date of my 18 month expiration)...the DMV letter is considered a valid reason...I hope this helps, and good luck!

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

UPDATE :

We just received a letter for an interview for I-751 scheduled first week of March in Chatsworth, CA  ( Los Angeles )

We are surprised as Chatsworth is one of the busiest USCIS location.

I-751 filed : December 2019

N-400 Filed: November 2020

There is no indication in the letter if it will be a combo interview. anyone knows ?

I was expecting a interview a year from now. Surprised it came so early wow

Congratulation! I filed I-751 just a month later than you. Can I ask when did your case change the status to Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview?

When I tried to use the drivers license for requesting an info pass, they flat out denied me. I even mentioned that my drivers license would expire and the lady said they don't consider it urgent. So I said I was in the process of changing jobs and they classified that as valid.

ROC

5/3/19 - Dropped package at UPS

5/6/19 - UPS ship package

5/7/19 - Package is delivered

5/10/19 - NOA1 Issued

5/14/19 - NOA1 received in the mail

5/24/19 - Biometrics Appointment letter received

6/4/19 - Biometrics appointment

6/6/19 - Case is updated online with "Fingerprint Review Was Completed"

5/5/20 -  Case is updated online with "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview"

Thanks....I guess it depends on who you speak to.  I received a letter from NJ DMV stating I need to renew my license and they considered a letter from DMV as urgent...

I read somewhere (Reddit I believe) that those cases got buried underneath the new ones. They are not obliged to process the cases chronologically hence they pick couple of cases from the top of the pile...

I'm April filer too so I feel you...

They don't call back or process the inquires. I haven't had any luck with talking to Tier 2 either. Tier 1 just tells me to open an online account 🤯🤯🤯

Do you get luck opening online account?

I have it and it is useless as nobody bothers to update any information.

I see also a lot of people hoping that there will be a sudden progress when they apply for citizenship... we will be all in the same situation but with 2 pending applications, the same wave of people...
