Our case status shows ready but my fiance is currently visiting family and not at home. How long can we wait before sending in everything for packet 3?

You have one year from the approval date printed on the NOA2.

@Greenbaum

wondering if you can help.

i made a tiny typo on the DS-160, the zip code is listed as xxx09 instead of xxx08 for my intended address under Travel Information.

do I just ask the CO at the embassy to update this at the interview?

Thank you in advance

You can let the CO know but the petitioners address is not going to be used for anything at this stage so it really doesn't need updating. It's all up to you.

It’s my “intended address in the US”, which just happens to be the same address as the petitioner.

nonissue then?

Non issue.

I’ve noticed another issue with my DS-160 that you’ve just helped somebody with in the March version of this thread. I didn’t realise the fiancé went down as a relative in the US.

Do I just hand both of my DS-160’s to everyone at the embassy now, since my appointment is booked with my original DS-160?

The embassy has no idea you have a DS-160 until at such time that you present one at the interview.  You could have 10, and the confirmation that you just handed to the CO becomes the one that they use.  Go and start a new one. Take your time. Look it over, he looks it over and you look it over again for any errors. Once you're satisfied then submit and print confirmation.  Destroy the one filled with mistakes so you don't get confused.

Appreciate what you're saying, I will do just that.

The only reason I ask is because using the (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv) booking website here in the UK, I was asked to provide my NVC Case Number and DS-160 Confirmation number when booking my interview and creating an applicant.

These fields are greyed out and I am unable to change either of them without cancelling my appointment, so do you still think I should just hand over the newer DS-160 and if asked, explain there were mistakes that I corrected?

You hand the new one and state that their were errors on the one that you submitted with your appointment.  That's all you have to say until the CO speaks again to you.

Very relieved. I promise I'm not ignoring you, just very stressed!

So I will redo this DS-160, triple check everything is correct, and hand over only the new barcode to the embassy staff. If asked, I will say the one submitted with my appointment contained an error with the zip code.

Thank you for your help!

Your welcome. This is not something that will cause you a denial. Take a deep breath. Your interview will go fine. Just look the CO in the eye when answering their question, be confident and keep your answers to the point.
