Nvc case number

Hello. I called nvc today 25th March and they said they received our case on march 08 but not yet entered in the system. They said it take 8 weeks to enter the case in the system. Have you exeperience this? When do i need to call to get case number?

Timeline

They cannot give you an NVC case number until it is entered into the system.  I would give it a few more weeks.....

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yes, everybody experiences it. It takes 6-8 weeks for them to input the case into the system. Give it another 3-4 weeks before calling them again.

I called today also, my NOA2 was approved on March 08, and they said today received my case, and it takes 8 weeks to get case number....

Nearly everyone has to wait 8 weeks. Some people think calling NVC every day will make it faster but that's just nonsense. Mine took 8 weeks, give or take a day or two.

129f get case numbers faster than i-130.

NOA1: Feb 13 2018

NOA2: Feb 15 2019

IV Docs submitted: Apr 12 2019

IV Docs resubmitted: May 1 2019

Case complete: may 3 2019

Expedite requested: May 15 2019

Expedite approved: May 23 2019

Case sent to Consulate: May 24 2018

Case status Ready: May 28 2019

Interview date: June 20 2019

Interview status: Approved
